RICKY FOSTER has been charged by the SFA for ‘excessive misconduct’ following an incident at Dens Park in the fixture against Dundee on 19th of September.
The 32-year-old reacted to Ref Alan Muir’s decision to penalise the defender for a foul of Leitch-Smith which led to a the decisive penalty in the 3-2 defeat for the Saints.
Foster reacted by kicking the door of the referee in Dens Park and has been hit with a two match ban by the compliance officer.
Now, Foster will miss the visit of former club Rangers, who visit McDiarmid Park next Friday as well as a trip to the capital against Hearts the following week.
Tommy Wright’s side sit on 4th on goal difference, with both Rangers and the Saints tied on 14 points.
