HOUSTON AND FALKIRK PART COMPANY

0

FALKIRK have announced tonight that Peter Houston has left his role as manager after a poor start to the season.

The former-Dundee United manager had led the club to the play-offs two seasons in a row; however, after the 2-0 home defeat to newly promoted Livingston, Houston has been shown the door.

In three seasons at the club, Houston led the club to the 2015 Scottish Cup Final and second place in the past two years. Houston’s performances in the past were quickly forgotten after the Bairns were booed off the pitch on Saturday – which leaves them second bottom and nine points off the play-off places.

The search now must begin for a new manager to rectify the situation for the club, with Paul Hartley being an early contender for the job.
