NOTTINGHAM FOREST boss Mark Warburton is being urged to sign free agent Joe Ledley.
Club legend Kenny Burns believes the City Ground gaffer should snap up the ex-Celt.
Welsh international midfielder Ledley, 30, has been without a club since rejecting a one-year extension at Crystal Palace.
Former Forest dynamo Burns, who won 20 Scotland caps, said: “I think Joe Ledley would be a good signing.
“There’s no doubt the club has done a lot of good business in the transfer market this summer, bringing in the likes of Daryl Murphy, Barrie McKay and Liam Bridcutt.
“But I still think a player of Ledley’s ability would make the squad even stronger.
“I know it will all come down to his wage demands, but the way I look at it is, Ledley is currently getting nothing. He’s not got a club, he’s not playing football and he’s not getting paid.
“So, even though he has played in the top flight in England and Scotland, no doubt earning decent money at Celtic and Crystal Palace, the longer he goes without a club then maybe he would take £10,000 to £15,000 a week to drop back into the Championship at an ambitious club like Forest.
“It’s still a lot of money to pay a player, but I don’t think a figure like that would break the bank.”
