‘CELTIC WRECKED MY SPYING MISSION,’ HEARTS BOSS

SECOND-TIME around Hearts boss Craig Levein admits Celtic are so good his spying mission at Hamilton a week ago was a waste of time.

The Edinburgh side make the trip to the Superseal stadium tomorrow, but the Tynecastle gaffer insisted he learned nothing new from Accies’ 4-1 defeat to Brendan Rodgers’ champions.

Levein said: “I went to watch Hamilton against Celtic. Certain things come back and I’m thinking: ‘Why am I watching this?’
“They are clearly very far ahead of the rest in terms of Scotland.
”Accies are a difficult team to play against, but watching anyone playing against Celtic is not like watching what is going to happen in our game.
“It was similar the other night. Celtic played maybe the best team in the world, maybe the favourites for the Champions League.
“That’s not something they face often and I’m sure Brendan would say the more often they play against team like that the more comfortable they feel in that environment.
“The gulf is unimaginable between playing in the Scottish League and playing against Paris Saint-Germain.”
