TONY MOWBRAY praised two-goal Charlie Mulgrew after Blackburn Rovers’ 4-1 mauling of Robbie Neilson’s MK Dons.
The former Celtic boss saw the the Scotland international conjure up a superb deadball effort to put his side ahead just before the half-hour mark.
Ed Upson had levelled for the visitors after Derrick Williams had opened the scoring in the fourth minute.
Mowbray said: “I thought we worked really hard to get in front and after conceding a goal.
“Mulgrew did what he does from free-kicks. You always fancy Charlie to hit the target.
“But I was most pleased with the way we finished the game. To get the third one from Charlie was fantastic.
“And then the icing on the cake was a brilliant move and a great finish from Dominic Samuel to make it four.
“So, it sends us away before the international break with a good feeling in our stomachs. Hopefully, our season is now up and running.”
