FORMER Celtic striker Daryl Murphy has joined ex-Rangers boss Mark Warburton’s Nottingham Forest, as Scotzine predicted yesterday.
The 34-year-old Republic of Ireland frontman agreed a three-year deal with the Championship outfit after Newcastle United accepted their £2million offer.
Warburton hopes Murphy will be the ideal frontline partner for Jason Cummings who arrived in a £1million move from Hibs last month.
The veteran attacker joined Rafa Benitez’s Tyneside outfit from Ipswich Town last summer, but netted only five goals in 15 appearances.
Neil Lennon paid £1million to sign him from the Portman Road side in 2010. He claimed only three goals before returning to Mick McCarthy’s team on loan.
