SCOTLAND midfielder Tom Cairney has agreed a one-year extension at Fulham.
The 26-year-old’s new deal will keep him at Craven Cottage until 2021 and the Championship outfit claim they have the option of a further 12 months.
Cairney joined the Londoners in the summer of 2015 from Blackburn Rovers.
He scored 13 league goals last season, but the club finished sixth and missed out on promotion.
Cairney had been linked with a £20million move to join up with Scots team-mate Matt Ritchie at Newcastle, but Rafa Benitez will have to look elsewhere.
Gordon Strachan brought the player into the international squad and he made his debut in the 1-1 friendly draw against Canada in March.
