ROSS COUNTY’S Kenny Van Der Weg has elected to remain in the Highlands for at least another twelve months after penning an extension.
The defender, who told Jim McIntyre that he wished to move on, has had a change of heart and is now looking forward to next season.
McIntyre was delighted with the decision of Van Der Weg, who featured 29 times last term.
“Kenny got in touch to say he had had a change of heart and wanted to stay at the club.
“Our position hadn’t changed, he’s a player that we wanted to stay and we are delighted to welcome him back.”
County now jet off to Spain with Van Der Weg in their ranks but are without Craig Curran, who was concussed at the match versus Elgin at the weekend.
