FORMER Rangers boss Mark Warburton is lining up a deal for Livingston striker Matthew Knox.
The Nottingham Forest gaffer wanted the 17-year-old at Ibrox last summer before the highly-rated youngster agreed a new two-and-a-half year contract with the League One outfit.
Warburton’s bid of £75,000 for Knox was immediately knocked back by Livi.
However, Knox, who has also had trials with Manchester United, is now back on the radar of Warburton who needs to strengthen his squad after last season’s final day escape from Championship relegation.
The Scotland Under-17 hitkid became Livi’s youngest-ever player when he made his debut in December 2015 just four days after his 16th birthday.
