CHELSEA star Dominic Solanke will become a Liverpool player on July 1st after agreeing a deal with Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The 19-year-old was believed to be a target for Brendan Rodgers’ Invincibles; however, his wage demands of around £50,000 a week weakened the Celtic resolve.
Solanke made just one senior appearance for the Blues coming on versus NK Maribor in a Champions League game in October 2014.
Liverpool will now have to pay a tribunal fee of around £3m for the players development to Chelsea.
Brendan Rodgers last week spoke about having to be realistic when it comes to competing with English Premier League sides for players given the wages that are on offer in that Sky-fueled league.
He had hoped that the example of Moussa Dembele, who has seen his value soar in one season at Celtic, would be enough to tempt Solanke North of the Border.
However the player has opted for Anfield rather than Paradise.
