ST JOHNSTONE star Danny Swanson has agreed a pre-contract deal with Championship title-winners Hibs.
Easter Road boss Neil Lennon, who is preparing his troops for tomorrow’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen, has already started his recruitment drive for the new season and life in the top flight.
Swanson – who previously played with rivals Hearts – will join his boyhood heroes in the summer and it’s a blow for Perth gaffer Tommy Wright.
The ex-Dundee United forward has just returned to action after being suspended and fined four weeks’ wages following his infamous bust-up with team-mate Richard Foster.
Wright had hinted earlier this week that he was confident the McDiarmid Park side would be able to agree a deal with their star man who has scored 13 goals this season.
He was hoping chairman Steve Brown would make the signing of the midfielder a top priority ahead of next season.
But Lennon has made a quick move to land the 30-year-old as he plans for the Premiership in the new campaign.
