GOALKEEPING coach Jim Stewart is the first casualty of Pedro Caixinha’s new regime at Rangers.
The 63-year-old former Ibrox No.1 has been told his 10-year spell at the club is at an end.
It is believed Stewart’s involvement with the Scotland squad is the main reason behind the Portuguese coach’s decision to axe him.
Caixinha demands total commitment to the club from all his staff and the absence of his goalie coach during an international break would have been unacceptable.
Stewart was brought to the club by Walter Smith and has also worked with Ally McCoist, Kenny McDowall and Mark Warburton until the arrival of the new manager at the weekend.
