HOLDERS Hibs are through to the Scottish Cup semi-final after defeating Ayr United 3-1 at Easter Road.
Goals from John McGinn, Jason Cummings and James Keatings put Neil Lennon’s outfit into tomorrow’s last four draw.
The Edinburgh men were coasting in the first 12 minutes when they went two goals ahead with a strike from McGinn and a penalty-kick from Cummings.
However, Craig McGuffie threw Ayr a lifeline with a spectacular goal before Ian McCall’s side were reduced to 10 men before the interval following Scott McKenna’s reckless challenge on McGinn.
Eleven minutes from time, substitute Keatings ensured there was no way back for Ayr with the killer third.
