CELTIC FACE RANGERS, HOLDERS GET DONS IN SEMIS

0
CELTIC will face Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final which is due at Hampden on the weekend of April 22/23.
Holders Hibs will take on Aberdeen in the other tie with dates still to be finalised.
This is the second year in a row the Glasgow rivals will go head to head for a place in the Cup Final.
Last season’s encounter ended 2-2 after extra-time, but the Ibrox side won through on penalty-kicks after Callum McGregor, Scott Brown and Tom Rogic all missed from the spot for the Hoops.
The Parkhead men gained revenge in this season’s League Cup semi-final – beating Mark Warburton’s former side 1-0 thanks to Moussa Dembele’s late goal.
It will be the fifth meeting of the sides this season with Celtic having won the first three ahead of Sunday’s league clash at Parkhead.
Dembele netted a hat-trick in the 5-1 win for the home side at Parkhead in September and Scott Sinclair got the winner in the 2-1 victory at Ibrox on Hogmanay.
Neil Lennon’s Championship leaders will face the Dons in the other semi final.
They beat Ayr United 3-1 yesterday while Derek McInnes’ men overcame Partick Thistle 1-0 at Pittodrie this afternoon with a Graeme Shinnie goal just before the interval.
