DUTCH forward Lex Immers has revealed why he turned down a move to Celtic in last month’s transfer window.
The 30-year-old was linked with a move to the Hoops after Cardiff City cancelled his contract by mutual consent after signing him from Feyenoord in January 2016.
But he opted to join Belgian outfit Club Brugge, despite being offered a more lucrative deal by Brendan Rodgers.
He gave an astonishing reason for rejecting the Scottish champions.
Immers said: “I didn’t want to drag my kids to Glasgow and, therefore, I chose to sign for Brugge.
“I didn’t hesitate for a second when it came to making my choice.
“That was even though it cost me a lot of money to sign for Brugge instead of Celtic or Stuttgart.”
