TREBLE-CHASING CELTS WON’T BE BLOWN OFF COURSE

STORM Doris failed where every Scottish club have also been unsuccessful this season – to disrupt Celtic’s progress.
It was a depleted Hoops squad that assembled at Lennoxtown yesterday with the chaotic weather conditions playing havoc with the roads in the West of Scotland and preventing some of the players from making it to work.

Those who did manage to safely navigate the route to the club’s training ground enjoyed a light indoor session under the watchful eye of Brendan Rodgers.

When the full squad reported for work this morning, final preparations for tomorrow’s Premiership clash with Hamilton Accies were put in place.

The Hoops boss said: “We had a few players who made it in, but it hasn’t disrupted us too much, to be honest.
“Our weekly physical plan meant that this was always going to be a down day for us.

“We were aware that the snow was coming – maybe not planning for that much, but this was going to be a lighter day for us. Safety-wise, we just wanted to make sure the players were fine.

“Some of the guys got in here and we had a nice little session in the morning.”
Rodgers also confirmed Leigh Griffiths will return to the squad tomorrow while Patrick Roberts looks set to miss out again, having sustained a hamstring injury a couple of weeks ago.
Eboue Kouassi, the £2.8million Ivorian midfielder, is also getting ever closer to inclusion in the first-team squad, having come through 90 minutes for the Development Squad against Dundee at Lennoxtown on Tuesday night.
