ABERDEEN striker Adam Rooney is convinced the hard work in the sunshine of Dubai will be well worth it when the action restarts later this month.
The bustling frontman said: “The last time I was in Dubai was for my honeymoon in 2014. I don’t think I will be enjoying cocktails by the pool this time.
“It will be running hard and drinking bottles of water in the 30 degree heat.
“We will be so tired from training in that heat we will just feel like going to bed.
“It can be tough training, but we will just have to cope with it as it will be good for the lads.
“Well done to the club for managing to stretch out and get us the facilities in Dubai because the lads appreciate it.
“We’ll make the most of it and try to come back flying for the second half of the season.”
The Dons are due to play Uzbekistan top-flight side FC Bunyodkor in a friendly today.
