IRISH striker Conor Sammon has returned to Kilmarnock from Hearts on loan until the end of the season.
Scott Boyd’s move to Rugby Park from Ross County is now permanent and 19-year-old Charlton attacker Joshua Umerah has also joined until the completion of the current campaign.
Sammon had fallen out of favour under Ian Cathro’s regime at Tynecastle having moved to Gorgie from Derby County last summer.
He had made the breakthrough at Rugby Park before heading south to Wigan six years ago.
Thirty-year-old defender Boyd had been on loan in Ayrshire since August, but has now joined Lee Clark’s side on a permanent basis.
A County statement read: “We can confirm today that defender Scott Boyd has been released from his contract here in Dingwall.
“Scott has been a great servant to the club since joining in 2008 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution and wish him well in the next stage of his career.”
And Kilmarnock’s capture of Celtic youngster Kristoffer Ajer on a six months loan deal has really captured the imagination of the Killie support. Watch out for him starring in the Scottish Premiership for the rest of the season.
