ABERDEEN defender Shay Logan insists he would not swap team-mate Jonny Hayes for either James Forrest or Barrie McKay.
The Celtic and Rangers double-act are rated in the multi-million bracket in the transfer market.
But the Dons full back reckons only Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair in Scotland are better than his Pittodrie colleague.
Republic of Ireland winger Hayes is a target for Cardiff City who have had two bids for him in the region of £500,000 rejected.
The 29-year-old raider was given a standing ovation when he came off just after the hour mark in the 4-0 Scottish Cup win over Stranraer at the weekend.
Adam Rooney (2) and Nial McGinn (2) got the goals to ease into the next round and a meeting with Ross County, but Logan believes Hayes is the main man.
He said: “Apart from the likes of Dembele and Sinclair, I’d say Jonny is the best player in the league.
“James Forrest and Barrie McKay? I’d take Jonny over them any day although they’re both good players.
“Fair play, if people are being talked about for £6million moves, but, for me, Jonny on his day is so direct and fast nobody can stop him.
“I’ve played in England in the Championship and I know that he could definitely do what he does here in that league.
“At the end of the day, football is a job, so if someone offered you the same job at another company on five or six times your wages you are going to think about it.
“If Jonny decides to go, then he has done one hell of a job here. No-one could begrudge him going. Even when there has been speculation, he went out against Stranraer and was excellent.”
