DARREN YOUNG will order his part-time Albion Rovers players to ENJOY playing champions Celtic in the Scottish Cup this afternoon.

The Coatbridge outfit will come face to face with Brendan Rodgers’ all-conquering team in the fourth round at Airdrie Excelsior Stadium.

Young said: “I found when I was a player facing the Old Firm or on a big occasion like this that the game can go by in a flash, so I want them to go out and make the most of it.
“Before they go out onto the field, I will tell them to take it all in and enjoy the occasion.

“We will have looked throughout the week with how we will contain some of their big players, but no matter what it is just 11 men versus 11 men competing on the day.

“You can dress it up whichever way you want, but at the end of the day that is what it is.

“In my two-and-a-half years, here the boys have given me everything, every week, no matter who they are playing and they will do that again on this occasion.

“If they can come in to the dressing room at full-time and say to me that they did everything they could, I’ll be proud of them.”
The player/manager added: “The boys are really looking forward to it.
“It has been a bit of a laugh with some of the boys trying to get tickets. Some asked for 10 – and some of them asked for 50 or 60!

“Hopefully, we will be at full strength and we want to give the best account of ourselves we can.”
