OUASSI EBOUE flew out to Dubai with Celtic yesterday, but won’t train with the squad until his work permit is granted.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder has agreed a £2.8million move from Russian side Krasnodar.
However, the top prospect is ineligible for an automatic permit because he is uncapped. An application can still be approved if an appeal panel – consisting of five former players or managers – decide he can make a significant contribution to the Scottish game.
Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies said: “We’re hoping everything goes well.
“Kouassi has travelled out, but won’t be doing anything with us until, hopefully, he gets a work permit organised.”
