FRUSTRATED Nadir Ciftci is poised to return to Celtic after failing to find a club.
The Turkish striker had travelled to Holland to attempt to earn a deal after being told by the champions he could leave Parkhead.
But all indications suggest the former Dundee United forward wasn’t offered a contract elsewhere.
Ciftci, 24, is said not to be keen on a loan move to any other Scottish club, although Motherwell could move to give him an escape route from his Parkhead wilderness. Dundee United fans have been active all day on social media urging the ‘big crazy B, to come on home!’
The 24-year-old, who still has two years left on his Hoops deal, has made only two appearances under Brendan Rodgers – in the Champions League qualifiers against Red Imps.
He was bought by ex-boss Ronny Deila for £1.3million in 2015, but has failed to impress.
