ABERDEEN are still hoping to persuade Niall McGinn, who is out of contract in the summer, to stay at Pittodrie.
The club and the player, who has been linked with Hearts, are still in negotiations over the possibility of an extension.
McGinn, 29, has been free to talk to other clubs since the winter transfer window opened on January 1.
The Tynecastle side have reportedly offered a three-year pre-contract to the Northern Ireland international attacker.
McGinn said: “My contract talks are still ongoing and I’ve just been concentrating on my football.
“It’s good being back in the team and my confidence is high.”
The former Celtic prospect has netted four goals in the two games since returning from the Premiership winter shutdown.
Derek McInnes’ side travel to Parkhead tomorrow night with the momentum of five successive victories.
However, they have lost three out of three against Brendan Rodgers’ high-flying champions this season.
