KILMARNOCK have officially announced the signing of Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer at today’s press conference.

The player, pictured for the first time in Killie colours, will be at the Rugby Park club until the end of the season.

The Norwegian teenager began  his career with Rælingen FK, before joining Lillestrøm at the age of ten. The 6’5” midfielder then joined Start in his homeland and made his debut in July 2014 .

Kristoffer, capped at U19 level for Norway, joined Celtic in June 2016 and was Ronny Deila’s last signing for the club.

Brendan Rodgers sees Ajer as being part of his future plans for the Champions playing in central defence rather than in midfield, and this is where Killie fans can expect to see him play.

Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark was clearly pleased with the signing, saying “Kris is a very versatile player, who can play for us in many positions. We have fought off a lot of competition to secure the services of Kris and we are delighted to have a player of his quality here at the Club.”
