RANGERS have issued a “hands-off” warning to the English FA over any possible pursuit of Mark Warburton for the nation’s Under-21 job.
The 53-year-old Englishman has been linked with the post that has become vacant with Gareth Southgate’s promotion to manager of the full international set-up.
But the Ibrox side are adamant their boss is going nowhere and they will not welcome any moves for the former Brentford gaffer.
Warburton has admirers in the England camp due to his history of working with young players and their development, but, despite the reports from across the border, he has not applied to take the job.
The FA would have to approach Warburton by the time they start the interviewing process on January 13 and no such move has taken place.
