Betfred Cup last 16 draw Scottish champions Celtic paired with Motherwell


The draw for the last 16 of the Betfred League Cup took place on Sunday afternoon, with the ties to take place on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th August.

Brendan Rodger’s Celtic side were drawn at home again Mark McGhee’s Motherwell side, Ayr United will play host to Aberdeen at Somerset Park, while Hearts face an away tie against St.Johnstone.

Lanarkshire side Hamilton Accies will face Morton and Dundee United, who were relegated from the Premiership last season, will face a tough test against Partick Thistle at Tannadice.

Premiership new boys Rangers will play host to Peterhead, in a repeat of last season’s Challenge Cup Final.
