Millionaire joins Dundee United board & there’s no radar in sight

lauraconwayRelegated Dundee United have welcomed local businesswoman Laura Conway to the club’s board after she was appointed an associate director.

United have already made a raft of changes in their playing and management team following their derby defeat to Dundee signalled their relegation to the Championship – with the biggest departure [other than veteran players like John Rankin and Paul Paton]being manager Mixu Paatelainean.

Owner Stephen Thompson has intimated that he is willing to listen to offers for the club, but it seems that Conway has been brought in to support the changes that the club chairman is set to make.

A brief statement on the official club website, read: “Laura has been in business for over 20 years and has recently sold her company, Presentation Products Group which had a strong reputation for quality and service supplying packaging to the world’s most prestigious brands.

“The Group had operations in Scotland, Hong Kong and China employing more than 150 employees and supplied clients throughout Europe, Asia and the USA.

“Laura’s professional qualifications and experience in business will strengthen and support the changes that will be required within the club during this challenging period.”

What changes need to take place at Tannadice to see them secure promotion back to the Premiership at the first time of asking?
