Arbroath sack manager Todd Lumsden

Arbroath have sacked manager Todd Lumsden on the back of six games without a win with Saturday’s defeat to Stirling Albion left the Red Lichties in eighth place.

A statement published on the official club website, read: “After a disappointing run of results and a poor league position, Arbroath FC have parted company with Todd Lumsden and his assistant, Steven Hislop. The club would like to publicly thank them for their efforts and will now actively seek a new management team.”

Lumsden joined Arbroath as assistant to Allan Moore at Gayfield in 2014 and following Moore’s sacking at the end of the season, Lumsden was promoted to the manager’s job.

Assistant Steven Hislop also departs the club.
