Aberdeen’s Graeme Shinnie wins appeal against booking for simulation

0

Aberdeen’s Graeme Shinnie has won his appeal against the yellow card shown to him for diving in the Pittodrie side’s 1-0 win over Dundee United.

Referee Bobby Madden booked Shinnie after he judged that the player had dived in the box, seconds before the Dons scored – only for the whistler to award a free kick to United.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes, who is to face a disciplinary hearing over alleged abusive language towards the officials, was sent to the stands for protesting against the decision.
