Scotland international Caroline Weir signs for Liverpool

Scotland international Caroline Weir has signed for Liverpool Ladies after a short spell with Bristol City Women.

The midfielder joined Willie Kirk’s Bristol side during the mid-season break, but with the Vixens relegated from WSL One at the end of the season, Weir has decided to leave and sign for Liverpool.

Speaking to the official club website, the 20-year-old former Arsenal player, said: “Liverpool Ladies are a really ambitious Club and I am confident that we can win more trophies over the next few seasons.

“It is a great move for me. There are so many talented players here and I am really looking forward to playing alongside them in order to develop my game.”

Liverpool Ladies manager Scott Rogers added: “Caroline is an exciting, young player who has huge potential. Having watched her performances for Bristol Academy and Scotland, I am confident that she can provide us with a real goal threat from midfield.”
