Ronny Deila scouts Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantic

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has reportedly scouted Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantic as he looks to bolster his squad.

The Norwegian watched the 23-year-old in action for Eibar as they beat Real Betis 4-0 in Seville on Sunday.

Pantic, who is currently on loan from Villareal, is out of contract at the end of this season and Celtic could secure him on a pre-contract agreement.

The defender joined Villareal from Red Star Belgrade in 2013, after seven years with Crvena Zvezda. He has made just nine appearances for El Submarino Amarillo.

He spent the first half of the 2014/15 season on loan at Cordoba making 31 appearances in all competitions and signed on loan for Eiber this season and has made 14 appearances.
