Dumbarton secured their place in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over fellow Championship side Queen of the South.

Garry Fleming scored the opening goal in the 17th minute slotting past Doonhamers keeper Robbie Thomson, before Derek Lyle drew the Doonhamers level early in the second half. However, Fleming gave Dumbarton the lead once again after being set up by Kevin Cawley which turned out to be the winner.
