Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson criticises Rugby Park’s pitch

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson has hit out at Kilmarnock’s artificial pitch following the 2-2 draw between the two sides at the weekend.

The 35-year-old, speaking to Hearts TV, has called on the Ayrshire side to think about the way they treat the Rugby Park pitch.

He said: “There’s a lot of people sliding about and I worry people are going to get injured on it. But if they are not looked after then it can be a hazard at times.

“It’s not ideal. I don’t want to be too harsh on it. Sometimes you say it after getting beat or a draw and people think it’s sour grapes, but I think it’s something we need to have a look at.”
