Celtic linked with South Korean striker Hyun-Jun Suk

Celtic are reportedly considering a move for South Korean striker Hyun Jun-Suk as they look to bolster their attacking options, with a fee of €3million rumoured to be his price tag.

The 24-year-old who plays for Portuguese Primeria Liga side Vitoria Setubal has scored nine goals in his 15 league appearances this season, with his side sitting in fifth place in the league.

Hyun-Jun Suk is the third highest scorer in the league, behind Benfica’s Jonas and Sporting Lisbon’s Islam Slimani.

The South Korean, who has six caps for his country, signed for Dutch side FC Groningen in August 2011 making 27 appearances and scoring five times. He signed for Maritimo in January 2013, making 14 appearances and scoring four times. He then moved to Nacional in July 2014 playing 13 times scoring twice.

He was on the move again in January 2015 signing for Vitoria Setubal and since then has made 32 appearances and scored 13 times.

Celtic’s striking options have taken a battering of late, with only Leigh Griffiths being the stand out for Ronny Deila’s side up front.
