Stenhousemuir manager Brown Ferguson named League One manager of the month

Stenhousemuir manager Brown Ferguson has been named Ladbrokes League One Manager of the Month after an unbeaten November.

Ferguson, who took over the managerial reins of the League One side in February, is refusing to get caught up on the moment despite the Warriors within spitting distance of the promotion play-offs with only goal difference keeping them at bay.

Speaking after he was named League One manager of the month, Ferguson said: “I’m very pleased that the efforts of the squad and the staff behind them were rewarded for last month because we had a really good month in terms of results.

“I’m honoured and, on behalf of the group of players and all the staff, I’m delighted to accept it. I’m a greedy person who is always wanting more, but, as far as sensible objectives on the field, we’re looking for stability.

“Moving into this season it was stability in terms of a position that keeps us in the league and stability in terms of recruitment of players moving forward.

“If there’s a goal on the pitch it’s stability this season. I’m ambitious and greedy so I want to do better than that, but that was the headline target on the pitch.”

Stenhousemuir welcome Albion Rovers to Ochilview on Saturday and a win over the Coatbridge side would see them propelled into the playoff places.
