Norwich City set to sign Steven Naismith for £8 million

Everton & Scotland international Steven Naismith is on the verge of signing for English Premier League side Norwich City with a deal reportedly worth £8 million.

City tried to sign Naismith during the summer, but Everton manager Roberto Martinez rejected their approaches despite £7 million being on the table.

In September, Naismith scored a stunning hat-trick against Chelsea but has only made four Premier League starts this season.

There was a significant number of clubs interested in the signature of the Forward, with the likes of Sunderland, Swansea City, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Middlesborough all interested.

Naismith signed for Everton in 2012 after Rangers were liquidated and he rejected his contract being transferred to Charles Green’s new Rangers outfit.

He has made 123 appearances for Everton in all competitions, scoring 25 goals.
