Darren Young named Ladbrokes League 1 manager of the month for October

Albion Rovers manager Darren Young has been named Ladbrokes League One manager of the month for October.

After what can only be described as incredible start to the season for the Wee Rovers the ex-Aberdeen play-maker has picked up his first award and no doubt he’ll be looking to secure more over the course of the season.

David Macdonald of Ladbrokes, said: “What a remarkable journey Darren has taken the club on. With little expectation after winning promotion to the league he has managed to take the Cliftonhill side into forth position – the club’s nickname ‘The Wee Rovers’ certainly doesn’t reflect the character of the manager or players”.
