Berwick Rangers have announced the sacking of player-manager Colin Cameron, just hours after the League Two side lost 4-1 away to Montrose on Saturday.
The former Hearts and Scotland international, who was appointed Berwick manager in January 2004 following the departure of Ian Little, was shown the door after the defeat left the Shielfield Park side seventh in the league.
Berwick have only won once in their past seven games and having crashed out of the Scottish Cup following a 4-1 defeat to Annan Athletic last week, Saturday’s defeat was the final straw for the club’s board.
A board meeting is now planned for Tuesday after which the club plans to release a statement.
