Ladbrokes goes Back to the Future

Yep even the bookies are getting in on the act of jumping on the bandwagon of Back to the Future day. So while fans of the film trilogy obsess by watching them over and over again, Scottish football can at least look at its own slice of history – well maybe.

If history repeats itself then going back to future this weekend could land you a Biff amount of cash according to Ladbrokes.

This weekend we see both Celtic and Rangers play the same opposition at the same venue as we did on the weekend of October 26th 1985, and the League sponsors have joined in with the fun with a range of specials on offers.

At Parkhead the Hoops got turned over 3-0 by Dundee Utd while St Mirren took three points from the Gers with a 2-1 victory, and for optimistic fans who think history will repeat itself can take the huge 10,000/1 on offer.

But for those who think we’ll see a reverse in the scorelines can take an enhanced special price of 85/1 Celtic and Rangers are victorious this weekend.

David Macdonald of Ladbrokes said: “Anyone that’s seen Back To the Future movies will be well aware of problems that the Sports Almanac book brought to the bookmakers. Only the Doc know’s the answer if we could see this weekend’s games do the same”
