Always Bet on Black: Halloween BOOkie bashing?

Another weekend of games are upon us on and coincidentally so is Halloween. So in honour of the commercially hijacked Pagan ritual, Scotzine tipster Graham Munro gives his weekend tips a wee horror movie theme – proving he is becoming more of a mad scientist.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Dundee

Shot shy Inverness are licking their wounds after defeat to Highland rivals Ross County in the League Cup. However it is unlikely that they will manage to grab a win to lift spirits and in what is likely to be more of a borefest than gorefest the points will be shared.

This is likely to be the football equivalent of ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space’.

Tip 1: BTTS (Ladbrokes odds 17/20)
Tip 2: Correct Score ICT 1 Dundee 1(Ladbrokes odds 11/2)

Dumbarton v Morton

“Do you want to play a game?” was the tag line in the SAW movies.

Equally it could be the same for the horror show that will be the epic tussle of the Firth of Clyde. Many will be hoping for the end of the match that sees the fans released from the jaws of a menace – namely Dumbarton’s stadium.

This game is best watched from behind the sofa.

Tip 1: under 2.5 goals (Ladbrokes odds 10/11)
Tip 2: correct score Dumbarton 0 Morton 1 Ladbrokes odds 8/1)

Ayr United v Stranraer

The Honest Men have unwelcome visitors in the guise of Stranraer and after a few shocks around the goalmouth the home side will manage to make it to morning with all three points in the bag.

A mad man runs amok in the midfield and is likely to find the more sensitive fans in the Somerset Park stands screaming. However, just like most Hammer horror movies it will be all shock and less substance.

Tip 1: Handicap Ayr minus 1 (Ladbrokes odds 7/4)
Tip 2: Correct Score Ayr 2 Stranraer 0 (Ladbrokes odds 8/1)

Forfar Athletic v Brechin City

Before the traditional ‘ducking for Bridies’ the small matter of the Angus derby. Sadly for the men from Glebe Park, The Omen is not good as they lost the reverse 2-0.

Just like poor old Patrick Troughton got a spike through him, the Loons will ‘monster mash’ their rivals.

Tip 1: Forfar home win (Ladbrokes odds 4/5)
Tip 2: Correct Score Forfar 2 Brechin 1 (Ladbrokes odds 7/1)

Queens Park v Clyde

With Nosferatu in the Bully Wee dugout this game will prove to be a classic. Classic in the sense of it was a match that has had it day – and that day was in the 1930s.

Tip 1: under 2.5 goals (Ladbrokes odds Evens)
Tip 2: Correct Score Queen’s Park 1 Clyde 0 (Ladbrokes odds 17/2)

Remember to always gamble responsibly. And if you are a blonde buxom woman reading this [Doubtful] DON’T run upstairs if you hear a noise or if you are being chased it always ends in your death!
