Celtic striker Stefan Scepovic has left the Scottish champions to join Spanish La Liga side Getafe on a season long loan deal.
The 25-year-old joined Celtic last year on transfer deadline day from Sporting Gijon, but failed to break into the first team as a regular and has made just 26 appearances for Celtic scoring six times.
The arrival of Nadir Ciftci from Dundee United pushed Scepovic further down the pecking order and with Celtic looking to bring in another striker before Tuesday night’s deadline – reportedly Sunderland’s Steven Fletcher – Scepovics’ time at Celtic Park is all but over.
Another costly mistake for Celtic as Scepovic joins Amido Balde and Teemu Pukki as recent expensive flops.
