Celtic learn their Europa League fate

Celtic will face Ajax, Fenerbahce and Molde in the group stages of the Europa League this season after the draw was made in Switzerland on Friday afternoon.

Handed a tough group draw, Celtic will face Ajax managed by former Rangers defender Frank de Boer, who they faced two seasons ago in the Champions League winning 2-1 in Glasgow and losing away in Amsterdam 1-0.

The away game was overshadowed by violence between both sets of fans and the Police.

The Scottish champions will travel to Turkey for the first time in a competitive fixture to face Fenerbahce in Istanbul. The Turkish side have the likes of Robin van Persie, Nani, Diego, Moussa Sow, Simon Kjær, Raul Meireles, Michal Kadlec and their captain Volkan Demirel in the side.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila will also return to his homeland, Norway, to face champions Molde who were fourth seeds going into the draw.
