St.Mirren sign Stuart Carswell

St.Mirren have signed Stuart Carswell after the midfielder was released by Motherwell at the end of last season. The 21-year-old signed a one year deal with the Paisley side with the option of a further year.

Carswell signed for Motherwell in August 2010, making 96 appearances for the Fir Park side 21 of those coming last season.

Speaking to the official St.Mirren website after signing, Carswell said: “I’m looking forward to a new challenge and getting the club back up where it belongs. I came out to the training ground last week and was very impressed with [manager]Ian Murray and the facilities there. I can’t wait to get started.

“I am delighted to have signed for St.Mirren this morning and I’m looking forward to a new challenge and getting the Club back up where it belongs.
