Partick Thistle have announced the signing of former Hamilton Accies keeper Tomas Cerny on a one year deal, following his departure from Hibernian.
The 30-year-old left Easter Road at the end of the season without making a single appearance, after spending the first half of the season with Greek side Ergotelis – making 11 appearances.
With the departure of Scott Fox to Ross County, Cenry will now battle it out with player-coach Paul Gallacher and 22 year old Ryan Scully for the Jags’ number one jersey.
Cerny began his career in the Czech Republic with Sigma Olomouc. In 2007, he signed for Hamilton Accies on loan, before spending nearly five years with the Lanarkshire side – and was an integral part of the side that lifted the First Division title in 2007-2008.
He left Accies in 2012, signing for Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia before moving to Greek Super League side Ergotelis and subsequently signed a short term deal with Hibs in January of this year.
