Scotland squad announced for Qatar & Ireland games

0

Gordon Strachan has announced his 26-man squad to face Qatar and Ireland next month.

Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam returns to the squad after impressing for the EPL side over the past month or two. Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain and Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths have also received call-ups to the squad.

Despite being out injured for the past five months, Celtic’s Charlie Mulgrew receives a somewhat questionable re-call to the Scotland side having only played 45 minutes during Friday’s 0-0 draw with St.Johnstone.

However, there is still no place for Graeme Shinnie, Gary Mackay Steven or Stuart Armstrong.
