Celtic secured their fourth title in a row on Saturday after Dundee United beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Tannadice, and chief executive Peter Lawwell is already looking forward hoping to add more silverware over the ‘coming seasons’.
Speaking to the official Celtic website, Peter Lawwell celebrated: “We are the champions and I’m absolutely delighted for everyone at the club – Ronny, his backroom staff, the supporters, the players.
“It’s a fantastic achievement and that’s what we set out to do at the beginning of the year – we set out to win the league and in his first year he’s done it. So I’m delighted for everybody. It’s four-in-a-row and hopefully we can add to that in the coming seasons.”
The fans will now be looking to Lawwell to back manager Ronny Deila with a transfer kitty to strengthen the side ahead of next season’s domestic campaign – as well as in Europe.
