Man City’s Dedryck Boyata Celtic bound?

Celtic are set to sign Manchester City defender Debryck Boyata for £1 million, to become Ronny Deila’s first signing ahead of the transfer window opening up.

The Belgian, will sign a four year deal with the Scottish Premiership champions after nine years with City, after flying into Glasgow on Sunday night.

The 24 year old has made just six first team appearances for City this season and with his chances of regular first team football non-existent, the defender has decided to move on with Glasgow his destination.

Boyata will in all likelihood fill the role that will be vacated by fellow Manchester City and Belgian team mate Jason Denayer, who will be heading back to Manchester after a successful loan spell at Celtic.

Celtic could possibly be looking at the transfer market once more sooner rather than later, with Virgil van Dijk reportedly heading out of Parkhead’s gates for pastures new.
