Tam Scobbie signs new deal with Perth Saints

Defender Tam Scobbie has signed a new two year deal with St.Johnstone on the back of the Perth side securing a top six finish this season.

Speaking to the official club website, Scobbie said: “I’m just glad to get it signed as it gives me some security for the next couple of years. I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club so far and hopefully over the next couple of years we can keep moving forward, keep making the top six and keep pushing for trophies.”

Manager Tommy Wright added: “Tom is part of a defence which has been particularly strong this year so I’m delighted to keep him. He’s another piece of the jigsaw finished as we build towards next season.”

Scobbie, a former Scotland Under-21 international, joined the Perth side in 2012 after leaving Falkirk Despite injury curtailing his playing time this season under Tommy Wright – the defender has done enough to secure a new deal.
