PFA Scotland announce manager of the year shortlist

PFA Scotland have announced the nominees for the manager of the year. Celtic’s Ronny Deila, Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes, Inverness manager John Hughes and Hearts head coach make up the four man shortlist.

Norwegian Ronny Deila is set to secure a domestic double with Celtic in his debut season with the Glasgow side. With only four games remaining and an eight point gap over Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen side – only a total collapse will see Celtic lose the Premiership title – having already lifted the League Cup following victory over Dundee United.

Aberdeen, under Derek McInnes, have secured the runners-up spot in the Premiership for the first time and have run Celtic close all season.

Inverness Caley Thistle manager John Hughes has led his side to the final of the Scottish Cup, their first European qualification and potentially a top three finish also.

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson is the final nominee as his side dominated the Championship amassing a record points total on their way to the title.
