Strachan names his squad for double header

Gordon Strachan has named his squad for the double-header against Northern Ireland and Gibraltar at the end of this month.

Bournemouth’s Matt Ritchie has been called up for the first time after impressing for the English championship side scoring 11 goals in 35 games, while there is a return for Jordan Rhodes and Allan McGregor.

However, there are no call ups for Celtic duo Stuart Armstrong or Gary Mackay Steven despite their performance for Ronny Deila’s side since their transfer in January.

Scotland face Northern Ireland in a friendly on the 25th March before their EURO 2016 qualifier against Gibraltar four days later.
